I want to meet people with a common interest in WordPress, share ideas, learn from others' experience, and hopefully share some of my experience. I couldn't find a WordPress Meetup group in Toronto, so I decided to start one.

Are you an end-user, or a designer/programmer/consultant for WordPress?

End user, mostly for fun, but with a long list of potential business ideas that revolve around WordPress.

What do you mainly use WordPress for? (eg. blogging, personal website, professional or corporate website, etc.)

Blogging, photoblogging, a new private network with WPMU and BuddyPress.

How much experience do you currently have with WordPress?

A few years with WordPress as a casual end user, a couple of trial WPMU installations, and a BuddyPress installation.

What are you hoping to get from The Toronto WordPress Meetup Group?

Sharing ideas and drinks with folks who have a common interest in WordPress, sharing knowledge and experience, and gaining more experience with WordPress MU in particular.

Hi,

I just joined your Word Press group because I would like to learn about the program in an informal setting and a meetup group sounds perfect. Would you have any suggestions for good introductory sites that I can have a look at before showing up for the meetups? At this moment in time I know absolutely nothing about Word Press but a friend and I had considered using it to start a blog.
